Summary: Dame Agnes Weston’s Royal Charity for the Naval Service, commonly known as Aggie’s, is here to help serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and their families.

Aggie’s provides pastoral support around the country and helps families to stay connected through practical projects.  Aggie’s support includes:

  1. Pastoral Support – Aggie’s Pastoral Workers are there to be ‘the sailor’s friend’. They are there to listen, support, comfort, encourage, and provide practical help and knowledge of specialist advice.
  2. Practical Projects – Aggie’s Pastoral Workers are engaged in practical projects such as family events, coffee mornings, setting up ‘home from home’ spaces within the chaplaincy and facilitating events in community centres and Naval Chaplaincy Service coffee bars. More information on your nearest Pastoral Worker and the events on offer are at:  www.aggies.org.uk/meet-the-team
  3. Storybook Waves – Aggie’s Storybook Waves enables personnel to record a bedtime story for their children to listen to whilst they are separated.   Recording centres are manned by Pastoral Workers and are available at shore-side establishments and units across the country. The service is free of charge and all families receive a special pack that includes a copy of the book recorded and mini medals for the children. More information on Storybook Waves is available at: www.aggies.org.uk/storybook-waves

Note:  Aggie’s is not a grant making organisation.
