Summary: The Trust aids the advancement of the Protestant religion and the charitable work of the Church of England in the parishes of the Diocese of Rochester adjacent to the seaboard of the Medway Towns and the Thames Estuary. This includes the provision of institutes, hostels and canteens for the benefit of the beneficiaries of the Trust and the provision within, or in conjunction with, any such institutes or hostels of temporary residential accommodation for the beneficiaries in need including the families of such beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of the Charity are ratings and retired ratings of the Royal Navy, seamen and retired seamen of the Mercantile Marine and men who ordinarily earn their living at sea.
